To respond to the need and desire to support contemporary creation, we offer a different way of art criticism. Born in 2023, the intention of PICarte (Italian Paths of Art Criticism) is to address realities of the contemporary art scene and beyond. We like the idea of a sound that echoes the English verb ‘to pick,’ halfway between choosing and taking, which, when followed by the word ‘art,’ emphasizes our intention.

We believe that through art, it is possible to draw paths and tread lines that span, why not, even from one discipline to another, all under the same desire to discover and create.
